Unit 3: Advance Keynote

Standards Assessed

(1) Creativity and innovation. The student uses creative thinking and innovative processes to construct knowledge and develop digital products. The student is expected to:
(B) create original products using a variety of resources.

(2) Communication and collaboration. The student collaborates and communicates both locally and globally using digital tools and resources to reinforce and promote learning. The student is expected to:
(C) format digital information, including font attributes, color, white space, graphics, and animation, for a defined audience and communication medium.

(5) Digital citizenship. The student practices safe, responsible, legal, and ethical behavior while using digital tools and resources. The student is expected to:
(C) practice the responsible use of digital information regarding intellectual property, including software, text, images, audio, and video.

  • How to combine text, and images to create a presentation.
  • How to create a presentation for a specific target audience.
  • How to correctly create a visual presentation that will be used as an interaction communication.
  • Understand why and how to properly give the author credit of borrowed work.

  • Knowing how to create title and body text boxes as well as images in Keynote.
  • Know what fonts and images to use for specific purposes.
  • Know how present a Keynote presentation (including speaking).
  • Know how to cite web sites where images where taken from.

Performance Tasks  (main subject integration: Social Studies)

  • Goal: The goal is to provide personalized learning to each student so they each create a Keynote on land forms.
  • Role: Student
  • Audience: The target audience is the teacher. She/He will use the data to that meets their needs are met, and can learn at their own pace; see which students need more instruction and practice in specific content.
  • Situation: Students will learn and master how to create, and save a Keynote.
  • Product: Keynotes will be created based on different types of land forms. Keynotes will include different fonts, size and colors as well as images from Google.
